Blue In The Face Poem by Randy McClave

Blue In The Face

You can talk until you're blue in the face
You can talk about any person's belief or race,
About politicians you can also complain
Or the reason why there is no rain.
You can talk about political parties as well
And who you think is going to hell,
You can talk about any or all of your amendment rights
And about anything else that's in your sights.
You can post whatever you want on your page
Even if it gets you a thousand likes and brings forth rage,
And you can get a hundred followers to read your every post
And then everyone can praise you with a toast.
You can tell me and everyone your stories as if they are the Gospel
While being kind or maybe even hostile,
But me- you cannot ever deceive
And you can't change my thoughts or how I believe.
