Blue Poem by Sarah Mendly

Blue

Rating: 5.0

A child cried cause he had no shoes, until he met a man with no feet
And time moves slower without the warmth of a heart beat.

For I see the light as I move to feel the pain
And I dwell in sorrow for the blue morning rain
And as the gentle breeze whisks away with my eyes
I reach for your touch, but am plagued with goodbyes.

And I yearn to want, to need so much more
For the passover of knowledge is to knock on immortality's door
And patience is a virtue I do not possess
For an overflow of love is lifes ultimate mess.

And as obsession fills my heart with joy
My mind is irritable and my actions start to annoy
For destiny's path has put a stop in my way
And I conjure up the thoughts without the words to say:
That life has no meaning, but what I meant to do
For the rain has turned to ice, but i still see blue.

So I cry for the child whose feet feel the cold
As another heart bleeds, for my tears they cannot hold
And the suns glow sweeps me endlessly away
For I am now set to see yet another meaningful day.

And as people jump in hysteria and laugh life out
I sit in solace in a corner analysing what this is about
For my body is not worth the ground it walks
And their ears are not worth my mind as it talks.

For the sun then sets on my torn heart
And inevitably, I am left blue, as I was in the start.
