Black Is A Colour… Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

Black Is A Colour…

Black is a color, but white isn't- why?
It is a fact between truth and lies
The world remains bright, though we behold the night
Darkness is a lie born out of light!

Dark clouds that bear water inside
are impregnated by the sun's rays, white
Light to heat henceforth to water and rain,
What to vary, what to hold rests on His might

The truth we perceive may remain tongue-tied,
The words we utter may set free lies

The realities are what we experience through our sense organs. Their true nature need not be the same as per our perception. The night and the darkness associated with it is a reality, an illusion caused by the eternal revolution of the earth around its axis. The light we receive is a permanent truth. The light alone gives rise to the illusion namely the darkness.

White rays reflect the seven constituent factors the seven colors in them with seven fold multiples. White is hence expressed here as not a genuine color (Continued)
