BILLY-BEAU.
By Nellie H. Brydson.

1. I joined the local village rep, when I was only twal',
3 plays a year and a ‘panto', within the village hall,

A stand-in for a stand-in, was my claim tae fame,
Until at last by deed poll, I went and changed ma name;
Chorus
Ah used tae be a has-been, noo ah'm juist a star.
I'm kent aroon the ‘West End', I've travelled near and far,
I've driven across tae China in ma Ford Firenza car,
I'm Billy-Beau Furbelow Shenandoah Farquhar,
"Hee-Haw get in a raw, if ye want ma ottigraff".

2. I was christened Albert Finney, but och that wudnae dae,
The ame already in equity, what would they want wi' twae?
The secret to guid acting is in getting' the timing well,
"Too black for heaven, and yet too white for Hell".

3. I've trod the boards wi' Postlethwaite, Nesbitt & Duvall,
Airm in airm wi' Lopez, we sashayed doon the Mall,
At a photo shoot wi' Connery, I really stole the show,
When a lass in the crowd shouts "Whae's that wi' Billy-Beau"? .

4. I'm playin' Palance in a screen play, I know I'm gan tae kill ‘em,
Then an interview wi' JKR in a brand new Potter filum,
I'm on my way to the BAFTAS, I'm sure tae win a cup,
I'd better press my ‘tux', wi the Oscars comin' up.
