Betrayal Poem by Maryanne Richards

Betrayal

Rating: 3.5

I see in you the beauty of a jewel
It opens up my heart to see the sun.
I ask, why does this not last?
For I have felt the hand that defends you.

What can one do when the sun goes down,
And all around you is chaos.
There is only me, me alone.
Nobody gathers rainbows to dry my tears.

A nice poetic imagination, Maryanne. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks
