Ben's Brown Bear

Rating: 5.0

Ben’s Brown Bear

Aunt Amelia Alderson
Bought Ben a big brown bear
Calling it Claude, he cuddled it
‘Don’t dropp it, ’ Daddy did declare.

Engulfed in evil energy
Far he flung his furry friend
‘Go get, ’ he giggled gleefully
‘Him on hall hooks held.’

Inside each innocent infant
Japes justified, jokes are jolly
Kidding kindly kinfolk
Laughing lips on a lemon lolly.

Mum is not mesmerised by mischief
‘No, now you know that’s naughty’
Often over indulgence
Produces parents with pesky progeny

Quickly quelling quarrels
Reason restored, no row to rue
Saucy son soon somnolent
Teddy bear tucked in too

Understanding under fives
Volatile, vexing, it’s a vocation
When with work and worry you’re weary
X-pect x-pence and x-asperation

Yet you yourself were once young too
Zany zoology, we’re all zippies in a zoo.

I see that you like to play with words, be challenged by your own devices, and be inventive too. I enjoyed your imaginative creation.
