Because They Were Bored Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Because They Were Bored

A senseless death is so very cruel
It tears apart those left behind
Grief overwhelms and tears cannot quell
Anguish for the loss, it torments the mind.

A beloved only son was shot by those
Whose reasons are so repulsive, absurd-
Cut off his young life now laid in repose,
And they did it because they were bored.

This evil now lurks in young minds so sick
Roaming the streets like devouring beasts,
May fate spare all from an end so tragic
Death in their hands, fun on which they can feast.
