Bands On The Radio Poem by Justin Gildow

Bands On The Radio

Throw back to our days of innocence
Thinking back to that era
When we were fun loving and full of independence
Back then, we surely had no problem in wanting to declare our independence
Sure, we ran through the tall green grass
And when the sun came it brought it a reason for us to smile
Our glory days, in looking back, were so memorable and worthwhile
Best of all
It came with the bands on the radio that we were fans to
It came with the bands on the radio that defined our generation

We thought they'd last forever
We hoped that time would freeze in this era
But the bands on the radio that we loved didn't last forever
And that era that was so special to us came and went
But the bands on the radio created so many special moments and memories for you and me
It was great to be alive then
Bless it all
