Baby you are the saddest goodbye

It started with the sweetest hello
An image I will never forget
Lighting hit through the skies the day I met you

I have no regrets
The memories still lingers in my vision
Some I want to forget and some I can’t seem to escape
Your voice still lingers in my ears

Oh baby we are both very much the same
Not learning how to love

The sweetest hello was the day I felt my heart beat its own rhythm
I tell you now baby you are not the one who cried
The many tears I dried thought me the price of love
Oh baby we are both very much the same
They told us this wasn’t love
Oh they told me I don’t know what love is
But it came from my heart
It burst through my soul like a thousand stars that fell from the skies and into your eyes.

Your kisses still lingers on my lips
I can still taste the tears that fell from your eyes
The saddest goodbye is the memory I want to forget.

I close my eyes; I can still fell your touch like it was yesterday
I thought, oh no baby I knew you were the chosen one for me.
Please know you were not the only one who cried.
Even as the years pass I still think of you every single day
The tears I shed cannot amend the pass

Oh my baby, why did you have to go and break my heart?
Why did we fight all the time for each other’s love, when the sweetest love was right here in my heart?
Anyone who ever love like this knows what I am saying
All I can think of is you and me making heaven on earth like we use

They told me I don’t know what love is
But I know it was real because it came from my heart
It burst through my soul like a thousand stars that fell from the skies and into your eyes.

I can still remember wiping the tears from your eyes
It aches in my heart with a cut that has no healing

Everything fades to dark
I am drowning in my tears
I am so blue baby
I am so blue, I miss you so much
Baby you are the saddest goodbye

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
