Baby Talk And Adlib Some Kung Fu Poem by Mark Heathcote

Baby Talk And Adlib Some Kung Fu

Babbling sounds made by babies and parents.
Are words that teach our infants so much more?
Developing sounds and, yes, a few grunts
helps baby learn and roar like a brontosaur.

This little poppet can ride a gee-gee.
And in my raised arms, fly like a moo-moo-
over the moon, oh what a wuv is he
At storytime, we adlib some kung fu.

Nana has the nerve to pretend: Does it too
and karate chops her red grape in two.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Starlite Cafe5 in 10 with Cherry So many people are torturing the poor apostrophe. This exercise asks you to take the 5 given words and use the CORRECT plural form of each to write 10 lines of poetry. DO NOT use apostrophes on these plural words because I will have to ask you to either fix or remove. Here are your words...baby...fly...story...grape...nerve. Yes, the first 3 have a tricky application. Find out what it is and use it correctly. Now remember, nothing has changed. I still expect consideration, requesting you keep it 'squeaky' clean in every way. Have fun. Love & blessings...Cherry
