Baby Sister Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Baby Sister

I knew about you, when you were so little,
And I played with you all over the garden.
You, my baby sister.
Your babyhood was so fragile and a cahrm.

My baby sister, I played tricks on you,
Where you'd jump from a small step,
And I would catch you
And hug you.

My baby sister, I met you at your university.
I met you walking at the grocery store.
Your radiance in that pretty face,
Made it all worthwhile.
