August And Aurora Poem by Enchanting Owl

August And Aurora

Rating: 5.0

Counting the weeks to pass as the moon replaces the sun,
Until the new outweighs the old, emotion weighs a ton.
I kept the pain in silence; I kept the promise like an oath.
From flesh to flesh and bones to bones, the numbness is an outgrowth.

Seventh of August, the predestined day the ghost was born.
The month that will always haunt me and cover me in thorns.
With your beautiful brown eyes, you shoot and cast narcotic spells.
With your gaze, I'm transported to the seven levels of hell.

I always visit the hill where we made our covenant.
My plea is my sacred song; my cry is my cruel chant.
I can still see you there, standing among the luminous clouds.
With your innocent smile, my mammoth heart is beating so loud.

Kept the paper flower you made after our dinner date.
Simplicity melts my soul; there's no bone in you to hate.
Kept reading our sweet letters, exchanging emotions in words.
Recalling all these makes me want to play the tuneless chords.

Counting the months to pass as the sun replaces the moon,
The old remains and hurts; the dawn becomes my afternoon.
Every time I close my eyes, your kisses are cruelly fresh.
Midnights are my aurora; my system needs to be refreshed.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is kind of hard to make. I based it on the person to whom I gave my heart, my life, and my soul. Now, we are not together, but his memories, touch, and face will be forever treasured. I'm hoping and praying this poem reaches this person.

I just realize that we have to put something to ourselves, not to give everything to other people.
