At Those Dark Moments, Love Shines Poem by Don Nguyen

At Those Dark Moments, Love Shines

Soon after the first tear drops roll down from my eyes
after the soft mourning cries are heard from my stuttering broken lips
my heart is crushed under immense weight, not of pains of injustice, but lack of compassion
for compassionate love is nutrient and joy for one's heart
at those moments which marks my life with a new start
refreshing like summer breeze in a cold swirling winter blizzard
I feel a gentle touch upon my soul, no, more like a caress
which warms my whole being, I cry louder to express
all the love of my heart into him
who is always standing waiting for those sad moments
to turn sadness into dancing
those hands which bless; those arms which caress
those eyes which cast compassionate looks at their best
those lips whisper marvelous non-sound words
the whole Spirit who encompasses all love from heaven to the world
belong to my Love, my Lord, my God
Who are three Persons with one Heart
Who reside in my most humble and confined heart
Which has expanded boundlessly at those moments
to contain all heavens within
