You Are My Inspiration Poem by Don Nguyen

You Are My Inspiration

I will never leave you, my Love, for I love you
For you are my Master and I am your subject
You have inspired all my writes, both old and new
All I ever knew was to write about you and me
Never leave me, my Love, for singing love ballads to you is my greatest delight
Thus, there is no need for human audience, celestial bodies I might invite
Not like a painter who needs to display his arts
Or a pianist who has to compose and perform to the pleasing of his crowd
I recite aloud my poem exclusively to your majestic crown
For your eyes’ pleasing is all I need due to the fact that my heart on you is inspired
My soul would be expired or perish into gloomy wilderness
Called the languishing world if you had withdrawn your kindness
What else do I need when my soul desires only to think then write of you
And to say how much I have loved you
How mercifully you bestow all graces upon this wretched sinner who never stop offending you
Your Love and your goodness are worthy to be praised in thousands endless songs
And my love, gratitude dictate me to go on loving you in spoken or written words
And the deepest boundless contrition which results in my great love will forever
Make my soul utter solemn cries which transpire into thousand different ballads,
All about love,
The human love inspired by the most August Lord with His divine nature
In which Love is fully manifested and its radiance shed inspiring Light.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It is hard for me to write when I must write For an artist needs to be inspired for his art to come alive Poetic air one has to breathe Not a commodity, the heart of artist's soul simply inhales and exhales Classical masterpiece had passed by once in a while Unless you just want me to submit a rough-draft version of high-school rehearsal
