At This End Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

At This End

I was swimming in her eyes
And desperately tried
“Will you be friends ever”?
She said “forever:

What a beautiful cover?
It was not all over
She did not lift veil
But I did not fail either

Yes, yes and you are poet
You will not remain quiet
But let me state
Love can’t be made straight

She is one of the finest
Carrying humanity at best
Dancer and model to self
She is hidden treasure in shelf

How to adore a beauty?
Direct gift from an almighty
It is given to fortunate one
We can only praise and share one

Let her remain blessed
But missed
At this end
As friend
