At Sonamarg Sledging Point Poem by Khairul Ahsan

At Sonamarg Sledging Point

Rating: 5.0

Animals rest, but the tourists' zest keeps adding on,
Some walk around, unbound, while some for sledging gone.

Some sit on the stone and see the waters flow
Some just stand alone, as the chilly winds blow.

Fingers numb, speech gone dumb, by the cold,
Thoughts afloat, in the pensive mind, quietly unfold.

@Aarzoo Mehek, Yes, Kasmir is a very serene place. We were so impressed by the beauty of the hillocks, rivers and the meadows! Loved the friendly people of Kashmir, but felt pity at their misfortunes. Thanks for the comment, dear poet.
