At Midnight Poem by Cabaline xxx

At Midnight

It is extremely quiet

A gentle snore, wafts its way,
around the almost still house.

A small cat twitches in her sleep,
as she dreams peacefully.

A cold wind blows on the house,
bringing with it hail.

But those asleep do not wake,
they are oblivious to everything.

The house creaks, as though,
it too cannot sleep.

A clock ticks, and tocks,
a continuous reminder of the time.

But upstairs in this house,
Sat in her bed,

a girl, flicks her long hair
out of her eyes,

and continues writing
