To have loved someone
In the brevity of Time
And to be loved in return
Is true Happiness sublime.

In my life I was blessed
To have had you to love
And to know that you loved me
Is my gift from above.

For it is the better part
Of this finite existence
A real blessing for our hearts
Separated by distance.

And I'm thankful each day
In my life I found you
For some just die away
Without a love that is true.
