At Christmas Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

At Christmas

At Christmas these thoughts remind me of my King,
God's greatest gift to us, the Son He was giving.
Jesus, the Light of the world would conquer darkness,
He is the Prince of Peace, full of love and meekness.

He is the Bread of Life Who came down from heaven,
The Living Water to quench the thirst of sinful men.
He is the Gate through which we all could enter
By faith in Him we become God's son and daughter.

When Jesus Christ was born, God's plan was set.
The Lamb of God would redeem us by His death.
He would become the Way for us to know God
Because the price He would pay would be His own Blood.

He will set captives free by His powerful Word,
The Cross was His victory, over death He is LORD.
Through Christ we're God's children, born of the Spirit,
Come to God through Him, be saved and complete.
