Questions we all have to ponder
Answers we all have to wonder
Life is all but tender
Beauty, truth and respect we all seem to yearn for
Hoping they will provide the answers, as time consumes our fragile beings
Still the thirst for answers burns within our body of thoughts
More time will provide more questions not answers
My youth is past but my passion becomes my youth

What oh my wrecked heart do you yearn for?
Answers I feel you answer
I indulge myself in books in search for the answers
They provide all but the answers
Life flies by without providing any answers
My eyes grow dim from my search but my soul grows brighter
Burning with hope ignited by a small discovery
The search for answers continues

Futility is all but the end of my search
Ability is not what I lack; choices are all that I have
Direction is all that I require
With every mountain of anguish and despair is a valley of hope
With every mountain top I reach, there I begin my journey
Yet again, the answers elude me
Alas! My strength ebbs

Do the heavens hold the answers, I wonder
Does the earth hold the answers, I wonder
Do the seas hold the answers, I wonder
Is nothing what it seems I wonder?
Is there something more to ponder?
This is all I think about as my heart beat grows faint
