Angelic Misconception Poem by Cat Reina

Angelic Misconception

Rating: 5.0

arrive at your scene
with the poison already in my veins
A quarter to Nine
with the light still glowing
at this time of day

So I sat in the wooden wicker chair
and stared and wondered
I long for love too
sitting at a distance
to hear you talk hip
so smoothly and professionally
I feel moved
And feel infatuated with you
a wave of gestures
that feel as they came from your heart to
your fingertips
I become flustered

I drink this port down
Brahms isn't here to stop me
People swarm around me
they move as a unified blur
I feel despondent and yet smothered
My shadow gets blown away
with the gusty wind
To leave my shell and frame behind

limp and drunk with miles
of waste all around
then a tap
my heart grows silent and forgotten
open my eyes I say
and I believe I see a saint
An angel of truth
then I await for her
angelic words to go with her good looks
and yet I am astonished to hear

'Stop staring at me Rembrandt,
I told you I want nothing to do with you'

I seem to feel I get this a lot
maybe I’m just full of myself
exaggerating
but I cant hold back

'You Bitch, You Narcissistic Bitch' I scream with a full sound of
fury

But I leave the port and
return home and
drown myself to sleep with you Brahms
and dream of understanding and wonder

Terrible Angels what kind of hell are you?

Love the title and ending lines, and the story in between them is engrossing.
