And You Could Tell Me...



You could tell me to kiss you
A soothing secret to force me from sleep
And you could tell me what's wrong
Forcing me to agree.

I shut you out, parachuting against the warmth
The tragedy of the darkness enveloping back and forth.
Cool bleeding dreams, shield me from time
I tell you to ease, you could tell me to slide.

I'm thrashing awake, young in the night,
You could tell me you want me, underneath the light.
