An Obviousness That Is Set Into Motion Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

An Obviousness That Is Set Into Motion

When it becomes easier to belittle,
Someone's achievements...
From a hidden jealousy,
And for despiteful reasons.
That begins to expose an obviousness!
An obviousness that is set into motion.

An unintended and indirect promotion begins.
And degrading patronizing statements made,
Only propels those who excell...
To a wider appeal with more adulation.
With character assassinations,
Dooming the ones who initiate them.
