An August morning

The golden rays
of a humid August sun
peeks through my opened window
and radiate across
the cloudless azure sky

The smell
of freshly fallen rain
after a mid summer night
thunder storm
fills my house
with a cool and relaxing energy

the pungent aroma
of freshly brewed coffee
occupies my senses
and instantly reminds me
it is time to start my day

My daughter's
joyful laughter and giggles
echo in the back round
my husband's strong and tender arms
show me wach day how blessed I am

So I charish each and every moment
and enjoy each day
and pray that everyone
could be as blessed as I am
on this humid August morning
