An Abortion Poem by Randy McClave

An Abortion

An aborted fetus never had dreams
An aborted fetus never screams,
Many friendships are angrily sorted
Saying they are murdered when they are aborted.
They want the doctor to go to jail
They don't want them never to get bail,
And they blame the government and his knife
Screaming how they allowed the taking of a life.

When a child is murdered, shot dead
Different scenarios enters into the same people's head,
They don't blame the government and not the gun
Even the shooter's rights is protected by everyone.
They don't want the shooter to go to jail
And they don't want the weapon thrown in a cell,
Not one piece of grief by them for that child is spoken
Only that their life was a NRA token.

My religion told me that I couldn't eat meat today
But, they said that I could eat eggs cooked in any way,
Then I queried isn't an egg an unborn fowl
I thought isn't it a chicken's unborn child.
They told me that, that an egg wasn't a chicken yet
And that was clarified by the local vet,
Until they hatch and then escape their cell
They are just food in an eggshell.
