Amid These Constellations Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Amid These Constellations

Rating: 5.0

I'm currently drunk on stars
in the delicate autumn night
of midnight prayers.

Let's wind our way through quiet streets
that end at a forgotten tavern
where lovers sing romantic songs.

I promise never to be upset with you,
to behave indignantly or as a jealous fool
even if I find you enveloped in the arms of a stranger.

Yes, I'm lonely and drunk amid these constellations
and reoccurring dreams, but I still remain
desperately in love with you.

A moving poem full of imagery and experiences easy to relate to. I truly enjoyed it the relaxed, easy style in which it was written.
