Allen Ginsberg, Your Howl Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Allen Ginsberg, Your Howl

Had been the howl
Of a generation
Lost in drugs, spirits and alcoholic substances,
Allen Ginsberg, your howl
Had been the howl
Of a generation
Pathless, digressed and deviated from,
Lost in smoking ganja, taking of drugs,
Finding refuge in an asylum,
Allen Ginsberg, your howl
Had been the howl
Of a gipsy wandering,
Your howl had been the howl
Of a vagabond wayfarer
Shabby and uncouth,
Allen Ginsberg, your howl
Had been,
Had been the howl of a generation
Lost and bewildered
And pathless,
Allen Ginsberg,
A generation misled by,
Running after infatuation
Which but the material pleasure
Extending it not,
O, where, where are they
Going
Misled and digressed from!
