All Men Who Live... Poem by judi spence

All Men Who Live...

Hard travels on this long winding road
Where does it end? Does anyone know?
Seasons pass, with sunshine or cold wind blow
Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer come and go
But every season brings a change
You come closer to where you shall remain
In this life, so many choices to make
So many chances, which ones do you take?

Will suffering lead to a peace?
Will the daily struggles ever cease?
I want to be in perfect harmony
Somewhere I can inhale and truly breathe
Where my soul soars and my spirit is free
Do you know how to find this place?
Where it is beautiful everyday?
If you've gotten lost
Come let me show you the way

For that place is where I am home
Its there that my spirit belongs
Wide open fields with tulips, roses and lilies
And in the air echoes sweet soft melodies
Open your eyes so you can see

No its not a fantacy
It does exist, not just within me
That's just how I imagine heaven to be
Just a glimpse of the beauty of eternity
Don't you want to come and see?

To it all in life, there is so much more
What other purpose could it all be for?
There is a light at the end of this life
That leads to no sadness, heartache or strife
Come with me, it's worth the sacrafice
Of the roads traveled and all you will deny
Of the trials and all the tears you will cry
It will all vansih along with the questions why
It will all be clear when you arrive
All men who live don't have to die
