After Oliver Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

After Oliver

After Oliver

Having been officer
I did walk in trench
Like many of others!

I feel Mike, Oliver,
Two US officers
Demonised and praised.

They were used as timber
For bridge, walked over
By White House, senators.

North was of Reagan's time
And Flynn is Trump's,
Both worked as greyhounds.

"Go and fetch my good dog, "
They heard and were on run,
The Reagan`s with Iran
And Trump's with Russia.

Poor are the officers
But not all innocent
Since wanted the sky…

They, themselves sacrificed
The colleagues and love of
Families, those around…

Their ego, ambitions
With others' involvement
Increased hell's flames.

The same is everywhere
In far East and Wild West.

Study Charles de Gaulle,
Stalin and Hitler,
Dwight Eisenhower,
To Mao and El Che,
MacArthur and Patton.
