A Varied Temperament Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

A Varied Temperament

Rhythms now on the rampage, holding onto their freedom and
independence, not wanting to give up even a moment of its
essence.

A varied temperament unfolding in the darkness, listening
to musical reverberatiions that tickle insides of mind
and intellect.

Walking steps of flavorful sounds and tempos at speedy
rates of tempos that are gathering more, going faster and
faster into the night.

Enjoying the fluid motion of rhythms as they keep traveling
toward the end of the line, nothing to keep them from reach-
ing their destinations throughout the evening.

Heading quietly and expertly into morning hours even before
the sun has risen in the eastern sky, a penetrating and awe-
some feeling of having lived two days all at once, a feeling
of total joy and happiness surrounding this poet.
