A Thought From Bill For Bill Poem by Mike Barrett

A Thought From Bill For Bill

Rating: 5.0

Rain in rain
I see not the rain
But the sunshine in the rain.

Rain in rain
I feel not the rain
But the sunshine in the rain.

Dark in dark
I see not the dark
But the sunshine in the dark.

Dark in dark,
I feel not the dark
But the sunshine in the dark.

Love in hate
I see not the hate
But the sunshine in the love.

Love in hate
I feel not the hate
But the sunshine in the love.

Love in hate
I feel not the hate
But the sunshine in the love.

Love in hate
I see not the hate
But the sunshine in the love.

Dark in dark
I feel not the dark
But the sunshine in the dark.

Dark in dark
I see not the dark
But the sunshine in the dark.

Rain in rain
I feel not the rain
But the sunshine in the rain.

Rain in rain
I see not the rain
But the sunshine in the rain.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In the late '70s, early '80s I completed a management training course in Atlanta. While there I met 'Bill'. During that week, on 'off-hours' we had several chats on topics metaphysical and spiritual. One rainy evening he offered the observation stated in the first paragraph. A few weeks later, following a contemplation on it, this poem came out.
