A Teenage Life Poem by Cookie Matzii

A Teenage Life

Rating: 5.0

I keep a hard shell
because I feel like I need to.
I act all tough and happy;
but inside, I'm crushed and feeling blue.

I just know the world wouldn't understand me
because I'm a weird neurotic lass.
My mind works in abnormal ways;
I tend to dwell on the past.

There's just so much in myself
that people don't get.
But one bit of these things,
I'll never regret.

I may have uttered words
here and there,
sang some lines
that weren't dealt with care.

But I will never go back
and change anything,
not even if someone
offered me a pair of wings.

All my flaws and my faults,
they all make me.
I'm still growing and learning.
At the moment, there's no one I'd rather be.
