A Special Friend Poem by Gautam Sen

A Special Friend

Rating: 5.0

There's someone who makes me smile,
And makes my smile worthwhile,
That someone's good, that someone's true,
Can you guess who? Its no one but you!

Our secret talks of a lot of fun,
Sweet memories under the morning sun,
I still remember the good old days,
Happiness enriched in so many ways.

I counted those times we spent together,
But they were endless, which made me wonder...
Do I have my soul cut into two-
One inside me and the other in you?

When you are sad, it makes me frown,
When you are low, I can't help feeling down,
But the moment you smile it gladdens my heart,
We still feel the same though we are miles apart...

People call it 'Friendship', the bond which we share,
Not a vague friendship, but one defined with care,
What we share is sweet, soft and warm,
Its incomparable and brings no harm.

Our friendship is like air, silently there,
Its like the rains, which wash out despair,
Its like the dewdrops, always so pure,
Its one in a million, I'm so sure!

You are very precious, safely locked in my heart,
Its my promise to never let you depart,
We'll remain close and will stay in touch,
So much still left after saying so much! !

‘…Do I have my soul cut into two-/One inside me and the other in you? ...’ Indeed matchless and in unison … it’s the CPM [Chemistry…Physics … Mathematics] of love…and never parched out...always stay succulent … lush … Scanty amongst plenty and its sanctity … 10++ Ms. Nivedita UK
