A Soup Of Friends Poem by Wandering Scarlet

A Soup Of Friends

Rating: 5.0

sit with me
my dear friend
my worst enemy
mix me mix you
a grand soup of flavor

eat me with
chopsticks
sporks
cake mix
forks

cake mix is for
the winterlong war

it soothes inner tension

my doors are closed
how about yours?

Nobody likes me anyway
maybe ill do it today
close the book today
my novel has nothing more to say

lick my fingers, sticky soup
gave up utensils
for a five finger scoop

the selfish man lies
and so do I
you still think I'm lonely?
then walk with me as I die

A commentary on the times in which we live. A litterary jambalaya of emotion and mindsets, all mixed together, to render a flavour of humanity. I invite you to read any or all of my works, tell me what you think, bro.

This doesn't say much to me, poetry or otherwise. But please comment on any of my poems, pick one at random.

'The world's mixed up anyway, might as well enjoy the ride.' That's what I got from your piece. Nice way of putting it.
