Not to get an extra penny,
But feel elated to sow the seed
Of trust in untrusted, And
Of hope in hopelessness indeed.
Not to miss a golden luck,
But feel disquieted to see the face
Of wishy-washy in able-bodied, And
Of grown-up still in distress.
Not to get into an infatuation,
But feel overwhelmed to fall in love
With the distressed and downtrodden,
With an intent to work hand in glove.
Not to wear a bemusing smile,
But feel unstrained to open my heart
To all I pass by,
To make my life lively and smart.
Not to get an injury on my glory,
But feel bewildered to meet a narcissist,
Failing to convey the message:
I live. I love. I exist.

A warm welcome to this world of poets and poetry! Your soliloquy has been heard. Nice, poetic thoughts expressed in a simple language. 'But feel unstrained to open my heart To all I pass by, To make my life lively and smart.' - a nice gesture! Greetings to such a nice poet who 'lives, loves and exists'. Best wishes and happy writing!
