I was lost and adrift
on a raft of scanty words
Gathering tidbits of flotsam,
of rhyme, rythm and clause
I arranged them into verses
fashioned out a ship of poem
Hoping to find the one I love
In a far and distant shore
And so I sailed the sea of love
My sailing ship a poem
The wind behind the sails,
my love so true and strong
But when I found the one I love
There was a mighty door
Standing guard to a heart of stone
That’s so impregnable
