A Separate World Poem by Jessel Jane Tevar Toring

A Separate World

Rating: 5.0

A world within this world...
a world apart from this;
apart from all forms void of peace...
from turmoil, grief, from morbid space.
Apart from all uncleanliness,
from stains of worldly sins.
Apart from mists of darkness,
a world with parted veils.
A world where hearts and souls are sealed,
where mortals and immortals meet;
which gates of pearly white I see
in stones these words engraved:
'Holiness to the Lord. The house of the Lord.'
- a world I knew... a world with you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I feel your existence within those walls. You are so real to me than any other thing my mortal eyes can see. I miss you. Happy Birthday.
