A Seaside Special Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Seaside Special

Rating: 5.0

Remember the days,
Down by the sea,
We walked along,
Just you and me,
Where seagulls flew way overhead,
And we would feed them morsels of bread,
And the sound of the fairground,
Beckoned us in,
We took rides on the dodgems,
Great prizes we'd win,
On the tin can alley and coconut stall,
Such a grand time we had,
Then we'd sit near the wall,
On the old wooden bench,
Eating fish and chips,
Then a nice hot cocoa,
Would pass through our lips,
We'd head for home,
On the evening train,
I long to relive those days again.
