A Royal Birth Poem by Valsa George

A Royal Birth

Rating: 5.0

The Sun in the West
smoldering with fire inside
afraid to explode,
jumped into the waters below

Over that impetuous act
the Day, in deep regret
snuffing all her grace
flickered out

Under the cover of darkness
the aquamarine sky witnessed
the birth of a crescent moon
with angelic glow

Cradled high in the vast expanse
with sailing seraphs for company
the little princess born
would be queen of the night sky

To celebrate the royal birth,
innumerable lights were lit
in the firmament
like burning chandeliers

The Earth was seen lying dazed
by this astral illumination
wondering what drama
would yet unfold.

Crescent moon is a delight to watch. The birth of the moon is so beautifully set in words.

this is REALLY 'cool', and i don't mean its temperature. i like it, like it, like it. one might think you had been an English professor at one time! ! ! i'll look for the moon tonight, but usually the only 'moon' i see is the neighbor lady, through her open curtains, with her bedroom light on! it's good enough (almost) for me! ! ! her's is usually a FULL moon! bri :) to MyPoemList and perhaps you shall offer it for August's showcase. or do i have to swipe/steal it? bri :)

What an honor... that this goes to your poem list...! Thanks for your appreciation! Needless to say if your eyes wander into forbidden space to see the moon or the sun whatever it be can have serious repercussions!

The Sun in the West has jumped into the water that has blown. Day, in deep regret has snuffled. Cradled high in the vast expanse, imagery has grown up to maximum effort. Innumerable lights were lit in the firmament with interaction of stars and crescent moon in sky. Royal birth has significance. A great imagery is drawn here and beauty of expression amazes mind. A nice poem is shared here really.10

A lovely descriptive write on the beauty of a crescent moon. The title is so apt. Very vivid imagery. A night sky lit up by a million stars n a moon is so richly n beautifully painted to delight the reader no end. A huge 10.
