A River Of Hope Poem by Melissa Caron

A River Of Hope

That sweet little girl
Glistens like a pearl
She has Cancer
In God lye's her answer
There is a tumor growing on her brain
She feels tired, of the pain
Though she pains a smile
On her beautiful face, with style
For she is five years old
So beautiful, extravagant, and bold
She will continue to fight
To prey every night
For a miracle, when she wakes
This morning, she looked out side to see glistening flakes
Of snow, ' look Mommy, its like a thousand angels are here, to protect me'
She knew, she was too young to die, she would live cancer free
Soon, she just knew
It was also true
Years passed, she continued to fight
To prey every night
Until one day, mommy got a call
It was the doctors saying, there was no more cancer at all
It was the miracle she had hoped for
More shocked than ever before, the telephone fell to the floor
When mommy looked at her and begun to cry
Tears of joy, she looked at the clear blue sky
Dropped to her knees, with her little angel in her arms tight
Gave thanks, to God, she can rest in peace tonight
She posted a party, over the good news, it was the celebration
That took over the nation
She would not die, she held too much worth
That little girls survival, highlighted the north
Part of the State
Of Chicago, for to cancer, she had won
One, battle was done
Though, sadly so many innocent children die
Leaving, families to cry
God, takes angels of all ages, and sizes
Life, is full of surprises
Everything happens, for a reason
Adding colors, to every season
So let our tears, create a river of hope
Helping, families cope
For our sick children, fighting today
To create, a way
For a miracle to arrive
To keep our children alive
