A Prayer
Till the Earth is still revolving,
Till the Light is still bright,
Lord, give to each one what he needs most -
Brains to an intelligent some,
A horse to a cowardly some,
Give some money to those lucky
And please don`t forget about me...
Till the Earth is still revolving,
Lord, the Power is Yours!
May some dying to be powerful
Rule long enough to his heart`s content,
Give a respite to those generous,
At least till the end of the day,
Give the repentance to Cain
But, don`t forget about me, please...
I`m sure everything is within Your Power,
I believe in Your Wisdom,
As much, as a crushed soldier believes he is in Paradise,
Like each ear believes in Your peaceful sermons,
Like we believe ourselves not knowing what we do indeed.
Jesus! My God, my Divine!
Till the Earth is still revolving
And it seems strange for itself,
Till there`s enough the time and the fire,
Please, give a little to everyone
And don`t forget about me either...
