A Poetic Mind Wants To Know Poem by Face Butter

A Poetic Mind Wants To Know

Rating: 4.8

My poetic mind wants to know
Do you feel for me like I feel for you?
My desire for you trickles slowly to my cervical vertebrae
Heart pumps rapidly at the sound of your voice
Languishing, I have for years in a dungeon of grief
On this platform I stood with men decapitating my soul
Using their charm to seduce like strong booze
Like a rag doll I was formerly a victim of dating abuse
Drunken by lustful affairs
Their fingers plunged deep into the front and back canister of my spirit
Leaving me stranded in the abyss of debris and molds
And then you came, sensually whispered my name with a tune
Pulling me out of the dark shadows
Inviting me to gobble and repose in the sunlight of your gentleness
No longer am I a peasant with an eating disorder
Your touch hot enough
Causing my petticoat to jump like a loose canon
With a smile as rich as winning the lottery
On a lazy Sunday
That way we stay home on Monday
Making love all day
Certainly producing rays on brown marble concretes
Teaching me romance 101 with dandelions and poetry
How amazing you are…
An easy access in and out of my heart
Can you really feel my emotions internally?
My organs cuddled by your love for eternity
And sincerely I have nothing but devotion for you
So please put your mind at ease
I just need to know for my own piece of mind
Do you feel for me like I feel for you?

You have a rich vocabulary cam lam and your use of metaphor is quite astounding. The journey you describe is one I fear to tread, but that is because I'm an old fashioned girl and not used to the modern world, but I suppose we have to take the journey, to understand what love is really all about. And your final question is one, we would like an affirmative answer too, hopefully, before we reach the end of the journey. Great Work. I rated this way before I commented by the way. 10 from Tai

Hi Face Butter! Your poem speaks a question that all lovers require an answer to. I think really, we should know, deep down anyway, but affirmation, does the soul wonders imo. I like the poem, but found it a little long. 9 from smiling Tai
