A poem can be written while waiting for the world to go by
In silence
Resting
Sitting on a curb with the wind at one’s back
While going to help a daughter
Who has just had a daughter of her own-
A poem can be written now
As I sit here and rest
Before resuming a walk
To meet the dream of a lifetime
Come true.
