A Partner In Crime Poem by Randy McClave

A Partner In Crime

I want a partner in crime
With whom I can serve my time,
Together in the same cell
Me a man, and my partner a female.
We will do our time together
Today, tomorrow and forever,
I don't want to ever be available for parole
A lifetime with her is my ultimate goal.
I want her always at my side
And those convictions I will never hide,
My crime will be my love for her
And together we will be in the same stir.
I will never attempt to escape
There will never be a successful jail break,
I will always be happy where I am
Even when I hear the door slam.
I want my sentence to be for life
And I want her verdict to be my wife,
My crime won't ever be of hate or vengeance
And I hope we both as a couple serve a life sentence.
