A New Year Begins Poem by Joyce Hemsley

A New Year Begins

Rating: 5.0

Light shone from his eyes
his smile told no lies
I fell into his arms
a New Year surprise.

Floral arrangement
a ring for engagement
joyous bells echoed
love's message to me.

Splendidly, unceasingly
he gave all his love to me
we strolled hand in hand
making our wedding plan.

True love was alive
romance for the archive;
enhancing the years
sweet memories never die.

Tenderly, unendingly
how sweet the memory.
Now a New Year begins
to the melody of violins.
