As the pace of life’s clock quickens
Emptiness overcomes me
Feeling now I’ve missed a chance
To share something
I never knew I had

The need to teach is deep within
Growing stronger with passing time
Even if not your own
Someone shall benefit someday
From your knowledge or lack of it

While I still learn from past generations
So it is my hope to be referred to
As an influence in a positive fashion
Opening a door somewhere
For all willing to enter
