A Horse Stood At The Pulpit Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Horse Stood At The Pulpit

Rating: 5.0

What if an old horse stood at the pulpit?
Oh, I can see him standing there
His warm eyes are filled with wisdom
And we know he really cares

He wants to tell us many things
With his heart so full of love
He tells it like it is
Just like a message from above

For his age is instrumental
In teaching love and grace
Yes, he lived a life so different
In his honest, open space

He became just like his barn
In that he’s passed the test of time
He’s like a weary old warrior
No better messenger could you find

What if an old horse was at the pulpit?
What would he say to you and me?
I’ll bet when he was finished
We would experience tranquility!

A thought provoking poem Marilyn! love it! If a horse stood at the pulpit, he'd have a lot of TAILS to tell an with a sugar cube, or two - He'd do it very well... Best always! *10*! ! Friend Thad
