A Gem Poem by Cyprian Ogeto

A Gem

To me dear mother,
You are my Shero

Good mothers to find is a gem
Mothership that molds with dulcet wordings
But to me dear mother, thou art impress
To me dear mom indeed you are a gem

Like a birdcage you hide me
Like a potter you mold me
An enigma to liken thee
To me dear mom, indeed you are a gem

You are a candle when darkness prevails
Your loving words I hear, till warmth is come
Your providence is unending, in times of need
To me dear mom indeed you are a gem

To you I pray, health be granted
And this I utter, you are my Shero
Here end I, for I could not pen all
But to me dear mom, indeed you are a gem
