Of My Last Night Poem by Cyprian Ogeto

Of My Last Night

In the gloaming glowing embrace I stand,
Awash in the cosmic wonders of this land,
For tonight marks my last on this paradisaic stage,
A bittersweet farewell, a melancholic reframe.

The moon's light dims and the stars wears,
My mind wanders through bitter and sweet memories of unnumbered years,
Pondering both ferocious and serene scenes of life,
Verily, a magnificent and deguereotyped voyage of life.

My life's symphony is extricated before me,
In the gloomy and aimless moving skies of the night,
The sighs of the moon and skies communicates the limit,
But within me gets down a sweet sorrow.

But dauntless heart becomes my friend,
For what is about to happen is a bygone scene,
And it's fate has long been an enigma,
To they that ever steps below the sapphire-blue painted sky.

For though I close this page with a solemn sigh,
Within me rings a beacon of hope,
Oh, the end is as beautiful as the beginning,
And my last night on planet earth, everlasting worth begins.
