A Friendship Long Poem by Old Teenage Poems

A Friendship Long

I am also one
To be proven wrong
although I hadn't been for long

Because I thought
I was but a game to you
The truth was you stayed true

But on the way realized
There was nothing left to stay true to
To say 'love, goodbye' was all left to do

And we once loved with passion
But to a flame that does no longer burn
We cannot hope for better days while our hearts yearn

Because I am also one
to be proven wrong
what was a short love can now be a friendship long
